I work in the time honoured tradition of decorating pottery with clay slips, stencils, line drawings & sgraffito to depict my interpretation of ancient cultures, rituals, and the world around me. Using stylized, naive decoration on a simple form, I am attempting to create evocative or whimsical work that is able to establish an emotional link and express my personal viewpoint that we are all connected to the earth.  If I get things right, my work will amuse, intrigue and inspire.  By producing unique handmade, mainly functional pottery that can be enjoyed everyday, I hope to add richness & pleasure to our daily life.
