Ray Kundinger resides in the beautiful hills of Mulmur near the town of Mansfield where he has a chalet nestled in the Pine River Valley. From here he paints landscapes in both summer and winter and paints extensively during his travels to Europe and the Carribean.
He is a member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, Georgian Bay Arts and Crafts Association and the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts centered in Collingwood. He has had many exhibits and showings in Toronto and other areas. He was published in the Catalogue of Canadian Artists distributed to the galleries and art dealers throughout North America. He has paintings in many private collections in U.S. and Canada and has been accepted into many juried shows.
Ray has studied in both Canada and the United States. He learned his skills and training through attending many artist workshops, schools and through his experience as owner of his own advertising agency in Toronto. He is known for his bold use of colour, simplistic design and loose brush strokes.
EXHIBITION
April’s ”group of seven” at the Mad and Noisy gallery will examine how the juxtaposition of imagery can create a story or vice versa, how incorporated text can work to evoke memories or create a picture within each viewer’s mind.
