Mad and Noisy Gallery curator, Jill Price, has encouraged the 55 member artists to interpret the joy of winter in their various mediums – painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, glass, textile, wood, jewellery and wax.  During this show, the gallery will be welcoming 17 new members joining those professionals who have already developed an enthusiastic following. Next Exhibition:

MARCH: Elemental Truths:  Examinations of Abstraction versus Minimalism
Exhibition Dates:
March 3rd til April 2nd, 2012
Opening Reception: March 3rd, 2:00 til 5:00 pm
Artists: James Stacey, Claudia McKnight, Liz Eakins, Jenn Smith, Dorianne Ross, Jordon Eveland, Brett Lundy

March’s “group of seven” from the Mad and Noisy gallery will examine methodologies of abstraction and minimalism through mediums of silver, encaustic, paper, paint, stone, and digital imagery.  Whether it’s depicting the bare essentials or altering imagery beyond the literal, each artist’s imagery celebrates the elements and principle of design, while simultaneously increasing the accessibility to the work.  We invite you to take in this ethereal collection of works that celebrate the notion of ”less is more” through accomplished studies of colour, line, shape and form.
